Junior-Senior Policies

Membership

Yearly Program Membership is 125.00 charged with card on file September 1

Attendance

Dancers must maintain strong attendance throughout the season. 3 total absences are permitted in the Fall Semester (Sept-Dec) and 2 in the Spring (Jan-Jun). This is outside of school required events, illnesses, or national holidays.

Students must be on time and will not be permitted to leave early/come late for other activities + sports. If either occurs, it will be considered an absence. If dancer exceeds the absence policy, they will not be permitted to continue regardless of time of year. There will be no refunds on entry fees or costumes paid.

Note- we can + will use weekend days to schedule classes or rehearsals

Classes

Dancers will attend their required "Core" classes as indicated (see graph below) and then cast in routines for competition and/or showcase. Everyone will perform at least 1 Jazz + 1 Contemporary routine, as well as Tap if participating. Ballet performs in the Showcase only. Choreography can/will be scheduled outside of core class time and a rehearsal schedule provided.

Note - we will have routines returning from last year for a second season

Ballet

All Ballet classes must be made up if missed within 2 weeks of absence (school-required events or injuries with a doctor's note are excused).

Fees

Parents must maintain good standing in tuition + entry fee payments. Consistent declined cards will result in removal from the program.

Injuries

Dancers with minor injures should still attend class to observe and may return with a doctor's note.

Decisions

All decisions made in regard to placement, classes, and routines will be at the discretion of the Studio Owner in the best interest of the dancer's individual plan and the Company as a whole. Student's do not grow at the same rate and their path will differ from their peers. By participating in Company you agree to trust the professional opinion of this program and your dancer's needs.

Training

Students in this program are not able to join/participate in another competition dance program or seek adverse training at another studio during the 23-24 season. (Gymnastics is not included)

Contact

Instructors will not be approached after class or contacted outside of the studio to discuss student-related issues. All correspondence must come through the studio.

Family

Families that are separated/divorced/split time with their dancer must decide OUTSIDE of the studio if this commitment is agreed upon by both parties. The studio will not accommodate one side that is not willing to follow the requirements.

Behavior

All dancers must maintain proper behavior in + outside the studio and set a good example for the younger students.

Respect must be extended to Instructors, other dancers, and family to family. Toriography will not tolerate student-student related issues, if it extends into the classroom or becomes unhealthy for the environment dancers will be removed from the program.
