to each group. Parents will watch the show from the audience and pick up when complete.
I am volunteering backstage, what do I need to know?
Contact us - toriography@aol.com
What should I send my dancer with for backstage?
Costumes/shoes first + foremost. Books, stuffed animals, coloring (crayons only), games, puzzles, etc. No slime, markers/paint, or expensive technology. Send snacks - crackers, pretzels, water, nothing messy. Put their name on everything!
My dancer is really shy/uncomfortable about changing backstage?
No worries! A great tip to make changing easy is to purchase a tan/nude camisole leotard to wear under their costume. Be sure to purchase one that will not show underneath (often you can get adult sizes w/clear straps). Remind them the folks helping change are also Moms :)
We have another event that day, can I pick them up before the Show is over?
No, for the safety of all dancers they must remain in the dressing rooms until the completion. Anyone attempting to retrieve early will be denied and notified to security.
How long is the Show?
Approximately 2 hours, the 2:00pm show is a little longer as we do Senior tributes.
Can I buy tickets at the door?
They are only available online (not sold at the door) and can be purchased up to 3PM on Sunday.
What if I need help on Showcase Day?
Krista + Lisa (our office staff) are in the lobby and happy to help with anything you need!
Any advice for new dance parents/first show?
Enjoy this special moment in their life. Don't stress, there is a solution to everything. The calmer you are, the calmer they are. Be early - leave time for hair, makeup, parking, settling into the dressing room.
